Master Builders Apprentices/Trainees will be assigned a Master Builders Field Officer to support and mentor them through their apprenticeship/traineeship.
The assigned Field Officer will make regular site visits and phone contact as required with the Apprentice/Trainee to:
- Discuss any safety issues or concerns.
- Ensure the Employee is working in a safe environment.
- Ensure the Employee has the correct PPE.
- Discuss the work that has been undertaken since the last visit
- Ensure RTO attendance and discuss any issues relating to RTO learning
- Periodically review and sign Training Plans
- Discuss any issues or concerns the Employee has
- Provide support and guidance.
It is a condition of Employment that Master Builders Apprentices/Trainees makes themselves available to their assigned Field Officer for these visits.
During Field Officer Site Visits and phone contact, Master Builders encourages the apprentices/trainees to discuss the progression of their apprenticeship, the types of tasks that are being undertaken, any safety concerns and their working relationship with their Host Employer.
