An exclusive Master Builders NSW Host Employer Incentive Program in partnership with Homes NSW. Earn up to $8,000 per quarter for every apprentice you host.

Master Builders places the apprentice, handles the administration and supports you throughout. You host them on site and receive quarterly payments directly, with no invoicing required. 

This is an exclusive initiative available through only a handful of Group Training Organisations in NSW, so it is not something you will find with most providers. It is now open to all building and construction employers, not just social housing, covering commercial, residential, apartments, aged care and nursing home construction

Choose your pathway

There are three pathways to suit your business. Each one pays a set amount every quarter while the apprentice is active.

Junior/ Adult Apprentice $5,500 48 months Up to $88,000 Building your future workforce from the ground up. The final payment marks completion into ongoing employment.
Master Builders NSW Exclusive Adult Apprentice $8,000 30 months Up to $80,000 The highest quarterly rate. Mature age apprentices bring reliability and life experience, and are productive from day one.
Trainee $5,000 12 months Up to $20,000 A shorter commitment. Trial the program, build your pipeline and convert your top performers into full trade apprentices.

How it works

  • 1. We recruit. Master Builders finds, screens and places the right apprentice for your business, with no advertising costs to you.
  • 2. You host. The apprentice works on your sites and you provide the on-the-job training. We handle the rest.
  • 3. We support. Dedicated Master Builders field officers support both you and the apprentice, and compliance is handled for you.
  • 4. You get paid. Quarterly payments come direct to you while the apprentice is active. No invoicing required.

What You need to know

  • There is no lock-in. If an apprentice leaves, payments simply stop. Nothing is owed and nothing is clawed back.
  • Apprentices receive direct support from Master Builders, including tools, licensing and cost-of-living assistance, which reduces the pressure on you.
  • Master Builders manages all training administration, compliance and registration on your behalf.
  • Apprentices who complete can transition straight into your permanent workforce, trained to your standards.

Definitions

This document outlines the direct debit arrangements between Master Builders Association of NSW Pty Ltd, ABN 11 074 397 532 (MBANSW) and you.

MBANSW is the registered Group Training Organisation and Apprenticeship Services arm of Master Builders Association of New South Wales, ABN 96 550 042 906 (Master Builders)

“You”, “your” and “Host Employer” refer to you, your company and business nominated in the table below.

This document outlines the direct debit arrangements between MBANSW and you.

Direct Debit Terms and Conditions

  • Your nominated account or credit card will be debited weekly for hosting a MBAS or MBAS+ apprentice or trainee.
  • The first debit to your account will occur within 7 working days of the MBAS or MBAS+ apprentice or trainee commencing their placement with your business.
  • If an invoice payment is due on a non-business day, it will be debited from your account on the following business day.
  • Host Employer account information held by MBANSW will be kept confidential. Please note that some information is provided to the MBANSW financial institution to initiate the debit to your nominated account.
  • MBANSW will give you a minimum of 14 days’ notice in writing of changes to these Terms and Conditions.
  • If you wish to make changes to this arrangement, please contact MBANSW on (02) 8586 3533.

Your responsibility in this arrangement

  • Ensure that your nominated account can accept direct debits (your financial institution can confirm this).
  • Ensure there are sufficient cleared funds in the nominated account on the drawing date.
  • Advise MBANSW in writing if the nominated account is transferred or closed.


Please note that if your payment is dishonoured by your financial institution, a re-draw will take place within 7 days.

Any transaction fees payable by MBANSW in respect to a dishonoured payment will be added to your account.
