As part of the Apprenticeship or Traineeship, you will be required to attend and/or participate in RTO training. This will be conducted either on or off the job site depending on the training plan. Master Builders will advise you of this requirement.
On or Off the Job RTO Training will be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such the Master Builders RTO or TAFE NSW.
As an Employee of Master Builders, you are authorising Master Builders to have access to your RTO records, including transcripts of competencies and attendance records.
Master Builders will monitor your progress throughout the training program and discuss with you any issues or concerns that may arise.
Attendance and participation at RTO Training is mandatory and is part of your Training Contract.
It is your responsibility to enrol into the appropriate RTO course. Master Builders will assist you with this process however, failure to enrol may jeopardise your apprenticeship or traineeship with Master Builders.
Note: Master Builders Apprentices/Trainees will only be paid for the time that they attend RTO training, so if you arrive late, leave early, or are sent home due to inappropriate behaviour, your wages will be adjusted accordingly.
RTO Training is not a ‘day off’. Teachers inform Master Builders when apprentices/trainees are late to class or missing in attendance. As a consequence, the assigned Master Builders Field Officer will follow up with both you and your Host Employer.
