Apprentices/Trainees that wish to resign from their employment with Master Builders after the probationary period has expired must provide written notification.
Notice of resignation by the Apprentice/Trainee is required in accordance with the terms the Award under which the Employee is employed and requires the following notice periods:

More than 1 year but not more than 3 years | 2 weeks |
More than 3 years but not more than 5 years | 3 weeks |
On receipt of the written notice of resignation, Master Builders will complete the necessary documentation to cancel the apprenticeship. This will be provided to the Employee to sign and return. An unsigned copy of the documentation will also be sent to Training Services NSW at the same time, notifying them of the changes in employment circumstances.
