Pre-Apprenticeship Program
Master Builders will help you take your first steps into the building and construction industry.
This 1-week entry level training program provides an introduction into both the industry and a carpentry trade prior to commencing an apprenticeship.
Course Details
The units of competency covered in the program include:
- CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
- CPCCCM2012 Work safely at heights
- CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic construction project
- This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. There is no cost to you.

Entry requirements
- Complete an application form for a Master Builders Apprenticeship
- Complete the Master Builders online aptitude test and Quescreen medical questionnaire
- Complete an interview with a Master Builders recruitment representative
You will need
- A resume
- Drivers licence (or working towards one)

Participants in our pre-apprenticeship programs will learn to
- Build a small project in timber, steel and/or concrete
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Take measurements and calculations for project work
- Work safely at heights
- Manual handling
