The NSW Government is investing $20.2 million over three years in the Women in Construction Industry Innovation Program to foster inclusive cultures, attract and retain women, and support women in leadership. As part of this initiative, the Master Builders Association of NSW has received a grant to study the role of workplace humour, including banter, among women in the NSW construction sector.
This project, led by RMIT University’s School of Property, Construction and Project Management, will examine the positive and negative impacts of humour on women’s work life, well-being, and career development through their firsthand experiences. The aim is to promote a more inclusive, respectful, and supportive industry culture. The RMIT team invites women in the NSW construction sector to participate in a one-on-one interview.
How You Can Support: We encourage you to participate in this research. Please complete this registration form, accessible here, to schedule the interview. Please also share this interview invitation with any other women within your organisation and invite them to participate.
