Nathan undertook the Master Builders Adult Apprenticeship Commencement Program (AACP) with Master Builders Apprenticeship Service in October 2021. Nathan decided to do this fee free Program to assist him to gain skills and secure a better future for himself and his family.
During the Program, Nathan was able to get a better understanding of the carpentry trade and the building and construction industry through hands on training and coaching by industry current trainers.
Nathan quickly discovered that he would like to continue this pathway, and commence an apprenticeship in carpentry.
The AACP is the first step in securing an apprenticeship with Master Builders Apprenticeship Service in our Adult Apprenticeship Program.
As a young father of a 5-week-old baby, he knew that this was not going to be easy from a financial point of view, but Nathan’s determination to provide a secure and structured long-term future for his family is his highest, and most important priority.
Nathan can earn and learn at the same time while been able to spend time with his new family – the best of both worlds!
Nathan is part of the Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) Apprenticeship Program, which rewards apprentices for working hard by providing a financial incentive each 3 month milestone.
We asked Nathan what he would say to anyone thinking about changing career or commencing a carpentry apprenticeship –
“Jump into it as it will change your life!”
