Master Builders have created a program with a holistic approach preparing you to become the best quality 1st-year carpentry apprentice.
This year, we have created an all-female Pre-apprenticeship Carpentry Program!
The brainchild for this came from an increase in female applicants AND our focus on mentoring and support for Women in non traditional Trades.
The course aims to recruit, train and assist females candidates into a carpentry apprenticeship.
Female candidates participating in the pre-apprenticeship carpentry program will have the opportunity to meet and speak with MBA’s existing female carpentry apprentices who will provide value and insightful information to the group.
During the program you will:
- Build house frames
- Safely use hand and power tools
- Measurements and calculations for project work
- Work safely at heights
- Apply first aid
- Effectively demolish part of a structure
- Obtain your White Card or Work Placement if you have the correct White Card qualification (we’ll verify this with you)
- 3 days work placement (subject to availability)
Most importantly, our candidates learn how to remain safe on site.
As this training is subsidised by the NSW Government, there is no cost to you.
Our Pre-Apprenticeship Carpentry Programs are held at the Master Builders Association Education & Training Centre in Norwest – 5 Burbank Place, Norwest
3 week Pre Apprenticeship Course Dates – 31 January 2022 – 18 February 2022
